Missions Department

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

The purpose of the missions department is to help churches of the Association fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, in preaching the Gospel to every person.

In 2012, the department has been involved in the “Time to Believe” joint project with the Russian Baptist Union. The project connected many young people from the local churches in the US who wanted to gain missionary experience with churches and ministries which needed assistance in the northwestern regions of Russia. Historically, these regions have been least evangelized.

Short-term mission teams went to such cities in Russia as Murmansk, Novgorod, Kursk, Orel, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad and many other regions. Other teams went to such CIS countries as Moldova, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Teams organized Christian camps for children, participated in street evangelism, took part in social ministry and other projects.

Also, a tent suitable to fit 300 people has been purchased. We would like to thank all churches and ministers who donated towards this purchase.
